TP-15 Paywelder: Purpose-Built Welding Tractor for Pipeline Construction

In pipeline construction, every hour of downtime comes at a cost. Yet many contractors still rely on crawler tractors that were never designed for welding operations. Retrofitted cranes, unstable platforms, and unnecessary complexity often reduce productivity and increase maintenance.

The CORIS TP-15 Paywelder was engineered to eliminate those compromises. Designed from the ground up as a welding tractor not converted from a standard crawler it delivers the stability, reliability, and versatility demanded by modern pipeline projects.

Today, the TP-15 is trusted by some of the world’s leading pipeline contractors, operating in some of the industry’s most demanding environments.

Designed for Pipeline Construction from Day One

Unlike modified crawler tractors, the TP-15 was purpose-built specifically for pipeline construction.

Its design reflects decades of practical experience gained not only as a manufacturer, but also as an equipment rental fleet provider and end user. That unique perspective has allowed CORIS engineers to develop a machine that solves real challenges faced on pipeline projects every day.

Reliability was the first priority.

The TP-15 features a straightforward mechanical architecture with minimal electronics, allowing mechanics to diagnose and repair the machine directly on site without specialized diagnostic equipment. Less complexity means less downtime and more productivity.

A Crane Engineered for the Pipeline Industry

The crane is one of the TP-15’s defining features.

Rather than adapting a standard crane, CORIS developed a dedicated pipeline solution featuring double rotational torque to ensure smooth, controlled movement of the suspended welding tent, even on steep slopes.

A reinforced column provides exceptional stability on rocky, frozen, or high-vibration terrain, while the overall crane height has been optimized for transportation requirements – 2.9 meters for the standard 10-ton configuration.

The result is improved operator confidence, safer handling, and greater productivity in challenging environments.

Built for Extreme Conditions

Pipeline construction doesn’t stop when conditions become difficult and neither should your equipment.

The TP-15 operates reliably in temperatures ranging from -40°C to +50°C, with proven performance on demanding projects around the world.

Its modular undercarriage allows contractors to select the optimal configuration for every project:

  • 8 rollers as the standard configuration
  • 10 rollers (4450 mm) for marshy terrain requiring reduced ground pressure
  • 7 rollers (3700 mm) where a shorter machine footprint is preferred

Steel and rubber tracks can be exchanged even after delivery, providing long-term flexibility as project requirements change.

With a ground pressure of only 0.34 kg/cm² and an operating slope capability of 30 degrees, the TP-15 is engineered to perform where conventional machines struggle.

One Machine. Multiple Missions.

The TP-15 delivers far more than welding support.

Within approximately one hour, the platform can be converted into:

  • Sand blasting unit
  • Induction heating unit
  • Mobile workshop
  • Crew transportation vehicle

This flexibility allows contractors to maximize equipment utilization while reducing fleet size and transportation costs across multiple stages of a pipeline project.

Why Pipeline Contractors Choose the TP-15

Pipeline equipment should do one thing exceptionally well: keep the project moving.

The CORIS TP-15 combines purpose-built engineering, exceptional field reliability, and operational flexibility to help contractors minimize downtime and maximize productivity.

Every design decision from the pipeline-specific crane to the modular undercarriage and field-serviceable architecture reflects one objective: delivering dependable performance where it matters most.

Because equipment designed specifically for pipeline construction will always outperform equipment adapted for it.
